Optimum design of 3D reinforced concrete frames using IPGO algorithm

چکیده

In this paper, optimum design of three-dimensional (3D) multi-story reinforced concrete (RC) structures is obtained using an improved version the plasma generation optimization (IPGO) algorithm. The reinforcing bars and geometry cross-sections are considered as discrete variables that chosen from a prearranged section database. objective function cost framework, steel concrete. moment shear frames selected to according American Concrete Institute’s Building Code (ACI 318) requirements. effectiveness proposed algorithm investigated in 3D RC subjected lateral seismic forces ASCE 7 Also, their frame counterparts compared for optimal design. results indicate good performance find solution frame.
